ABSTRACT |
The effect of liming 4 red soils developed from Quaternary red clay and red sandstone on the cadmium forms and its toxicity were investigated. Liming the acid red soils could greatly reduce Cd toxicity to plants because the soluble Cd and organic Cd in the soils decreased significantly while Cd bound to minerals/oxides and residual Cd increased markedly with increasing lime rates (pH). |
