Role of amorphous manganese oxide in nitrogen loss
Li, L. M. and Wu, Q. T.
ABSTRACT
Incubation tests showed that loss of N from NH4-N under anaerobic conditions was increased by the addition of amorphous MnO2, fresh MnO2 having a greater effect than aged MnO2. N loss caused by amorphous MnO2 was less than that caused by amorphous iron oxide. 15N tracer studies showed that NO2, N2O, NO, and N2 were emitted.
