2022, Environmental PollutionCitation Excerpt :In this study, farmland with high pH and SOC had lower total PAH concentrations, which was consistent with the results of another study on PAH-contaminated farmland soil in Guangzhou with a pH of 7.7 and soil organic matter of 3.2% (Zhu et al., 2019). Although the SOC in farmland is high, it is possible that the content of dissolved organic matter in farmland is higher, and the higher soluble organic matter is beneficial to the desorption of PAHs, improving their bioavailability and making PAHs more easily degraded (Yang et al., 2014; Bao et al., 2020). In addition, farmland soil had a high TN content in this study.
