2021, Ecological IndicatorsCitation Excerpt :Thus, in the identification of areas unsuitable for grazing, these reserves were taken into consideration as they are not fit to be grazed on. Areas unsuitable for grazing in the mountainous were also identified depending on the slope gradients such that areas exceeding a slope greater than 35% were considered as unsuitable for grazing (Long et al., 2010). All these measurements were achieved by applying the DEM slope analysis.
